Professor Alves kicked off the symposium the same way he starts his classes; an enthusiastic "Good Morning America."
Rod Hart, Dean of the College of Communications, "Mack Brown can't run the 100-yard dash very quickly anymore, but they athletes that he brings in sure can. They just don't know where to run to."
It makes sense, and that's kind of scary. I guess that means I'm one of those young, fast athletes, only in journalism. If this is the case, then we're in trouble.
Just kidding. But really, it's interesting to think that the profession in such a state of upheaval. The internet is really changing things, and although it’s a great tool to share information, it might spell a of catastrophe for certain aspects of the news business.
On a related note: Rosental is very, very excited about the symposium.

Rosental is always excited! But the quality of the conference really justifies it this time.
